I knew what I wanted to be when I “grew up” before my 6th birthday – a carpenter. I was certainly the only 6-year-old in my neighborhood that had a real leather tool belt.

 

When I wasn’t watching This Old House, I was visiting the job sites of my future boss and watching every move he and his helper made. I like to think that he saw my passion at that young age, when he offered me a summer job at the age of 12. I worked summers, school vacations, and eventually through college, building everything from additions, decks, and

add-a-levels.

 

In 2009, I started my business - Level Home Improvements. Amazingly, I feel like I haven’t worked a day since then. I truly love what I do! To begin each day with a pile of lumber and have a tangible creation by the end of the day is so rewarding.
